These are the topics for upcoming programs:

  • Beginning Horsemanship- Learn about basic horsemanship including: handling, grooming, leading, seat position, start, steer and stop.

 

  • Basic Art and Horses-For the beginner artist that loves horses.

 

  • Advanced Art and Horses-Choose a horse for your subject, study parts of the horse, and reading the horses moods and personality.

 

  • Beginning Trail Riding-Learn about trails in your area, what you need to take on a trail ride, how to condition your horse and pack your gear.

 

  • Careers in Horses-Learn about being a horseshoer, jockey, and riding instructor. There will be a demo from a horseshoer and you will also learn about caring for your horses feet and the process in trimming and shoeing a horse.

 

  • Owning a Horse-This class will help you understand what it is like to search for, buy and care for a horse.  We will learn how much a horse costs to take care of and the responsibility that goes along with owning a horse.
